  4. Jerry Connor says:

Mrs. Bailey was a modern day hero through her carrier as a teacher. She could form a bond with a student that somehow gave her the correct path to educate each student individually and as a classroom. I don’t think we really knew it as her students, but she was undoubtedly preparing us for the future. She was a straight shooter, and I could go on for hours about her quotes for every situation, especially not doing homework excuses. I will miss her smile, her compliments, her encouragement and her laugh. I will continue to know and admit proudly, that she was such a positive influence on my life, along with so many others.

My thoughts and continued prayers to her family. Please know now. more than ever, she is with you every step of the way, on your shoulders, to continue to guide you.

Rest easy in God’s hands Mrs. Bailey, you did a lifetime of good.

Terry was the best of the best. She touched so many lives as a teacher and mentor. All of the students loved her because they knew she cared about them. Terry was a born teacher and her quick wit and love of teaching made her lessons interesting and fun for the kids. When I think of her I smile because she always made me laugh. See you on the other side my friend.♥️

I have SO many fond memories of working with Terry at St. Josaphat’s School. Her laugh was contagious !!!
She often spoke of her family and the great times down the shore. We were able to meet up at Irish Weeekend a couple times. Thinking of you all during this sad time. She was such a well-loved woman, teacher and freind!

  12. Joe and Libby Wright says:

Terry was my wife Libby Dobson Wright’s first cousin and one of her best friends. They grew up together as young girls and stayed friends through all of their lives. I have known her all of my adult life. Without a doubt she was one incredible woman.
Her accomplishments as a teacher at St. Bridget and St. Josephat’s are legendary. Every kid that she taught knows of “Murphy the Leprechaun!” She taught both my daughters and two of my grandaughters. All of whom now have advanced college degrees. That was because she gave them a solid foundation to become good students. Just about every family in East Falls and parts of Roxborough and Manayunk have kids that were taught by her and without a doubt everyone of them will say, she was their favorite teacher.
She raised three beautiful girls and she leaves her beloved husband Jack. They were together over 50 years. Their loss is a loss to our entire family and to our entire neighborhood.
RIP Terry, we love and miss you!

My condolences to Jack and the entire family.
Without a doubt Terry will be sorely missed. We grew up together thru our teenage years. Terry was a great friend and a truly great human being. Many hours our group would talk, dance {at Saint Joes/Wagners}, laugh, and really have a lot of fun. Whenever I think of East Falls today I think of our Terry. East Falls has a great loss today. You really did “touch other peoples lives” whether you realize it or not”. Terry, I believe Helen is also with you now and when I miss you both “I WILL LOOK DEEP INTO MY HEART AND FIND YOU BOTH THERE” God bless you Terry and rest in peace. Forever your friend……DAVE
