Elizabeth Margaret McFarlane—10/26/2022

Elizabeth Margaret McFarlane, “Peggy,” nee Devlin, age 88, of East Falls, died October 26, 2022. Beloved wife of the late John F. “Jack.”

Survived by her children; John F. Jr. (Vern), Gerald M. (Janet), Liz McFarlane (Joe Williams), Kate McFarlane and Thomas (Christine Johnstone).  And her grandchildren; Gerald Jr., Amanda, Britany, Bianca, Megan, Erin, Shawn, Thomas and Sophie.  And four great grandchildren.  Also survived by her sisters, Sister Patricia Devlin, SHC and 
Gerry Salmons; many first cousins, nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband John, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Devlin.

Peggy and John loved to travel and they visited every continent except Antarctica. Peggy was a woman of many interests and talents. She  was a great cook and she also enjoyed gardening. She shared her appreciation of the arts and music with her children. Peggy was a big fan of all Philadelphia sports teams.  She valued her community of East Falls. Her faith was important to her.  She made attending Mass a priority in her life, even while on vacation.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her Viewing at St. Bridget Church on Wed. Nov. 2, 9:30-10:45, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
