My sincere condolences to John and to the Brooke family.
Regrettably, I just now became aware of John’s passing. I haven’t seen John in a very long time. Perhaps when he last lived on Indian Queen Lane. I did not know that he may have been ill. John was older than me in East Falls. I’m going to say by about 5 or 6 years. He was always hanging out with the crowd that my generation regarded as the “older guys”. When you’re a small kid growing up in East Falls, certain people become fixtures of the community. I can say that John was that. Again, very sorry to hear of John’s passing. He will be remembered in my thoughts and prayers.
