Connor, Gerald M. Sr., “Jerry,” age 81, of East Falls died Nov. 17, 2024.
He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille, nee Donato, his high school sweetheart.
Jerry is survived by his sons John and Gerald Jr. (Lauren), two granddaughters, Natalie and Stephanie, several nieces and nephews and three sisters-in-law; Evelyn Connor, Nettie Callahan and Monica Curcio. Jerry served in the Philadelphia Police Dept. for 27 years, retiring with the rank of Captain. He was a long-time member of the East Falls Sports Association, for whom he coached for many years. Jerry was an avid golfer and a member of the “TOADS.” He was a life long Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at his vacation home in Cape May.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Monday, November 25th from 9-10:30 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30. Interment at Laurel Hill West will be private and at a future date.
Donations in Jerry’s memory can be made to The National Kidney Foundation or to The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
