It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Henry P. Brolly, Sr., age 80, Phila. Fire Fighter, of the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia, died May 8, 2025.
A dedicated firefighter, he devoted his life to serving and protecting others with courage, humility, and quiet strength. Known for his tireless work ethic and unwavering compassion, he found the good in everyone and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was especially renowned for his culinary skills at the firehouse and his award-winning Christmas cookies during each holiday season.
He was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren, whose lives were a constant source of joy and pride. A lifelong learner and avid reader, he could often be found with a book in hand or listening thoughtfully to NPR, always seeking knowledge and understanding.
His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the values he instilled. He will be remembered not only for his bravery and service but also for his kindness, wisdom, and deep love for those around him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing (8:45-10:15) and his Funeral Mass (10:30 a.m.) at St. Bridget Church, 3667 Midvale Ave. on Sat. May 17th. Interment will be private and at a future date.
