Ernest P. Williams, June 23, 2015, age 76, formerly of East Falls. Beloved husband of June (nee Gorley). Dear father of Joseph (Tracy) and step-father to Deborah and John Lewiski. Loving grandfather of Abigail and Ethan. Also survived by a brother, Rick Barreras. He was preceded in death by his son Ernest Jr., his sister Betty Lou, and his mother, Rita Barreras.
Ernie was born and raised in Philadelphia. In his younger years he was a professional drummer in bands such as the Riff Riders and Ricky & the Gents. Ernie traveled widely and played with well-known artists in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. He then became a roofer and served out his career with Roofers Local 30. He retired to the country in upstate Pennsylvania, where he was an avid bow hunter and outdoors photographer and enjoyed country living with his wife and dogs.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Friday, June 26, 6-7:30 at the McIlvaine Funeral Home, East Falls.
