Joseph P. Long, Jr., October 27, 2014, age 47, of Belmont Hills. Survived by his father, Joseph Long, Sr., his brothers William (Jeanette), Kevin and Sean (Kimberly); also survived by three nephews and two nieces; William, Matthew, Patrick, Katie and Leah. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth.
For several years, Joe was head coach of girls’ softball at Philadelphia University, he also coached for Team USA Softball and traveled around the world with the team.
Friends may call Saturday morning, November 1, 10 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church, 119 Rector Street, Manayunk. Joe’s Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment private.
