David J Newsome, of East Falls, Philadelphia, died February 8, 2024. Dave was a widower of the late Dottie (nee Cheever). He was formerly married to Liz McFarlane. Dave is survived by his children Megan (David Spearing), Erin Rehfuss (Charles) and Shawn Newsome; his grandchildren Jack, Ashlyn and Isabelle and his sister Cynthia Neild.
Dave was an IT Specialist for the Water Dept. of the City of Philadelphia for 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Dave liked watching Phillies and Eagles games.
Family and friends are invited to greet the family on Feb. 24th at 10 o’clock at the McIlvaine Funeral Home, 3711 Midvale Ave., Phila. PA 19129.
