Theresa Mary Lambert (nee Thomas), of Philadelphia, died February 22, 2024.
She is survived by her husband Richard of 60 years; her daughters Kieran McDowell (Grant), Kathleen Lambert and Theresa Lambert; her grandchildren Miranda, Caeli, Christiane, Roy, Jake, Owen, Magdalena and Hanorah and four great grandchildren. Theresa is also survived by her two sisters Marge McGarvey (Jim) and Fran McShane, her brother Bill Thomas and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Richard and her granddaughter Anna.
Theresa’s family was the greatest joy of her life and her devotion to family members was unwavering.
Family and friends alike enjoyed her wit and her great sense of humor.
Theresa was deeply committed to her community and to helping those less fortunate. Her faith was important to her and she gave generously of her time and energy working with the Sisters of St. Joseph, especially at The Welcome Center and Mother of Mercy House.
Theresa will be sorely missed by the countless people whose lives she touched.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation 9:45 a.m. on Sat. April 6 at St. Bridget Church, 3667 Midvale Ave., Phila. 19129, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. Donations in Theresa’s memory may be given to The Welcome Center or to Mother of Mercy House.
