Alexander J. Giovannone, July 23, 2017, age 92, of East Falls. Alex was a WW II Vet, a member of the “Men of Malvern” for 61 years, and a member of The Immaculata Council #3933 of the Knights of Columbus. Beloved husband of the late Julia (nee DiCenzo) for 67 years. Loving father of John (Deborah), Marianne Vanore (Armand) and Julia Shaffer (Jeffrey). Also survived by special nephews James, Michael and Angelo Valucci; 9 grandchildren and two sisters, Angela DiQuinzio and Rita Paul. He was preceded in death by his brother Francis.
Friends may call to greet the family at 9 a.m. Wed. July 26th, at St. Bridget Church, followed by Alex’s Funeral Mass at 10:30. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cem. Donations in Alex’s memory may be given to the St. Bridget Memorial Fund.
