Mary Coombs–9/28/2017

Coombs, Mary, Sept. 28, 2017, formerly of East Falls and Lansdale.  Beloved wife of the late Rev. Doctor Maurice A. Coombs.  Dear mother of Anne DeRentz (Michael), Sue Giacomucci (Francis), and Christopher (Phoebe).  Also survived by 6 grandchildren; Karen, Andrew, Lauren, Sam, Emma and Matthew, 3 great grandchildren; Gracie, Jaxon and Andrew Jr. and a brother, Geoffrey Heath.  Mary was a wonderful woman who devoted her life first in supporting her husband’s commitment to God and his church and then to her family and friends.  In her position as the wife of Rector Coombs, she served The Memorial Church of the Good Shepherd in many capacities for over 30 years.  Mary’s Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 6,  11 a.m., at The Memorial Church of the Good Shepherd, 3820 The Oak Road, Phila. Pa. 19129.  Donations in her memory may be made to the loving souls at Holisticare (685 Kromer Ave., Berwyn, Pa. 19312) who cared for her during her lengthy illness.
