Matthew P. Gallagher, August 17, 2020, of East Falls.
Matthew died peacefully at home.
He was the beloved son of Wilma Jean and the late Patrick Gallagher. Father of Sean, brother of Patrick, Tim and Jean Spino (Mark). Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Matthew was a bartender at the Vesper Club in Center City for over 30 years. He was a friendly, kind and very generous man.
His Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Sept. 3rd at St. Bridget Church, 3667 Midvale Ave., Phila. 19129. Visitation, 9-10:20a.m..followed by his funeral mass at 10:30.Burial will be private.

Although heaven gained an angel, everyone that knew Matt feels a certain emptiness. Matt has a huge personality. As the obit read, he was generous and kind hearted. Matt volunteered to help us move and paint more times than I can count. I am very proud to have Matthew as my daughter’s Godfather. Even though I haven’t seen him in over twenty plus years, his impact was lasting. I celebrate Matthew’s life, but grieve for all those left behind.
