Charles F. DiCicco—6/27/2021

Charles F. DiCicco, June 27, 2021, of East Falls. 

Beloved husband of Rita (nee Starbek) and loving father of Carrie Bannon (Bill) and Charles F. Jr.  Dear Poppie of Emma, Ava and Alexis.  Also survived by his father, Francis, his brothers, Patrick (Kathy) and Francis (Sherry), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Frances (nee Badame).

Faith, family and friends were utmost in Chal’s life.  He was an active member of the St. Bridget and East Falls communities. Chal played sports at the High School, College, American Legion and Pendel levels. He was inducted into the Pennsylvania and Roman Catholic High School Sports Halls of Fame. 

Chal served in many capacities at St. Bridget Parish. He was a member of the Pre-Cana team, usher, and athletic director as well as having served on many committees. He was a recipient of the Living Faith Award in 2016. Chal served as both coach and mentor for over twenty-five years to hundreds of young people in the East Falls and 21st Ward Sports Associations. He was a salesman for Westinghouse Lighting Company for over forty-three years prior to his retirement. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Rita, for over forty-eight years, a loving father to his children Carrie and Charles, Jr. and adoring Poppie to his grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation at St. Bridget Church, 3667 Midvale Ave, Phila, 19129 on Tues. July 6, from 9-10:30 a.m., followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30.

Interment Westminster Cemetery.

Donations in Charles’ memory may be given to Roman Catholic High School.

    So sorry for your loss, so many great memories when I lived in East Falls and I always thank God that the DiCicco family accepted me as a part of theirs. He will be missed.
