Although I did not know Dave personally, I was aware of him from the time our children played ball at McDevitt Rec in the early 2000s. I believe his daughter Cara played on the Giants while my son Billy was on the Phillies. I recall Dave being involved in coaching third base for the Giants. Throughout the years, I would see him in the neighborhood walking his dog wearing his trademark T-shirt minus the sleeves which had been removed. And again as a routine visitor to St Bridget Church. We may not know individuals personally, but you feel like you know someone when you routinely see them in East Falls. I was surprised and sad to hear of Dave’s passing. My condolences are extended to the entire McSparron family.

    To the McSparron Family,

On behalf of Intercultural Family Services, Inc. we would like to express our deep condolences for the loss of Mr. David McSparron. Caitlin, one of his precious daughters, is a respected leader and co-worker at our agency. Caitlin speaks very fondly both of David and Sandy, as they endear their roles as parents and grandparents to Charlotte! We are so blessed to know the fondness and loved shared by entire family through Caitlin’s joy. Our prayers are with you.

Eternal rest grant unto David, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he Rest In Peace. Amen

    Respectfully,
    Elenita Marcha
