Alexander Hersh, October 1, 2016, at the age of 91. Dr. Hersh was a professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania for 22 years. He was an avid advocate for people with disabilities throughout his career. Noted husband of Phyllis for 60 years. Loving father of Elizabeth and Shari. Dear grandfather of Emma and Zack Goldman Hersh and Bella Didd Robinson. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service at Cathedral Village, 600 E. Cathedral Road, Philadelphia, PA 19128 on Saturday, October 22, at 3 p.m. The service will be held in Cathedral Hall. Donations in Alex’s memory to the ARC of PA. (Advocacy for People with Disabilities) or the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society would be appreciated.
