James McFarlane—3/8/2017

James M. McFarlane, Sr., March 8, 2017, of Roxborough, formerly of East Falls. Beloved husband of Donna (nee Grispon), loving father of James McFarland, Jr., Patti Fox (Matt), Lisa Montaanez (Nick) and Kellie McFarlane (Matt); loving Pop Pop to Brianna, Ryan, Maci, Aaron and Aria; brother of the late Jack McFarlane (Peg) and the late Thomas McFarlane (Blanche); also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of good friends and extended family. Roman Class of 1965, proud member of Plumbers Union Local 690 for 51 years, Vietnam Veteran 25th Infantry Division 1969-1970 and recipient of various medals; Purple Heart, Bronze Air medals and several South Vietnamese medals. Long standing member of Bill Wilson’s, AA group and Member of the Romeo group. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, March 13, 9-10:30 am at St. Bridget Church, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in Jim’s memory may be given to Roman Catholic High School, 301 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
