James H. Mulligan, January 7, 2018, age 86, of East Falls. Beloved husband of Patricia A. (nee Flynn). Loving father of seven children Anne McNesby (Frank, M.D.), Robert (Monica), Patricia DiPiero (Vince), Catherine Pereira (John), James, Therese Boyle (George) and Thomas. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Cecelia (Kropp) and Robert.
U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, retired Sgt. Philadelphia Police Dept. and retired utility mechanic, Medical College Hospital of Pennsylvania (EPPI), Member of Philadelphia FOP Lodge #5, Retired Philadelphia Police, Fire and Prison Guards Association, K of C-3rd degree, Immaculata Council and 4th degree Archbishop Ryan Assembly and Roman Catholic High School, Class of 49.
In lieu of flowers, contribution to St. Bridget Memorial Fund would be appreciated. Relatives and friends are invited to Jim’s Viewing, Thursday, January 11, 6 to 8 p.m. at McIlvaine Funeral Home, East Falls. A second Viewing will be held 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, the 12th, at St. Bridget Church, 3667 Midvale Avenue, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
