Sandra M. Montimore “Sandy,” of East Falls, Philadelphia, died August 13, 2023. She was the beloved daughter of the late William F. and Nancy Montimore and sister of the late William M. Montimore.
Sandy graduated from Ravenhill Academy and the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant at the U of P Dept. of Biostatistics.
Sandy loved her cats, visiting the family seashore home in Somers Point and getting together with friends and family. She had a beautiful voice. Sandy sang in various choirs; St Bridget, Chestnut Hill College and the Philly Pops in their holiday concerts.
Friends may call at St. Bridget Church, 3667 Midvale Ave., Phila. 19129 on Wed. Aug. 16th. Viewing 9-10, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be given to the St. Bridget Tower Fund.
I’m terribly sorry to hear of Sandy’s passing. She supported me when I first arrived at Penn fresh out of grad school. She was one of the kind souls that made it feel like home. My prayers go out to her family and friends.
Sandra always had an easy smile. I will miss seeing her on New Queen.
Sandra was a good person.
